Corporate copywriter

My clients include international and industrial corporations as well as small creative brands. My portfolio ranges from steel, services and sustainability, to beer, books and beauty.

Belfield Group
The Belfield Group is the UK’s largest upholstered furniture manufacturer. Its customers include our best-loved high street names as well as some familiar leisure and on-line brands. When Belfield wanted to re-brand and re-group its specialist divisions, I worked closely with the branding agency to write their corporate story and all of the content for their new, smart website.

Carillion is behind so many aspects of our daily life, from school dinners to defence, healthcare to highways. Projects have included annual sector reviews, relaunch of its company values, and  website editing. I work as a contributor/editor on employee e-newsletters and leadership communications and have helped to devise internal campaigns to build engagement with strategy, surveys and charity initiatives. Recent work includes video and animation scripts.

Sunday Times Fast Track
Business research and editorial for Fast Track, the Oxford company that has created a network of the UK’s top private companies through its Sunday Times league tables.

Tata Steel
Global steel company and long-standing client. Current work includes editing its annual sustainability reports and writing news stories and case studies for its internal news channels.

Copywriting and publications for a key client of this Brussels-based corporate reputation consultancy.

British Fluid Power Association
It’s the power behind manufacturing. This industry association represents manufacturers and distributors of pneumatic, hydraulic and motion control equipment. In 2016 I wrote their new membership pack and exhibition materials.

Smart Beauty
This creative, colourful hair products client had a dynamic new product. How to sell it to a big retailer? How to present it to consumers? What about the packaging and the instructions? I helped them think through every aspect of the launch communications, every step of the way.

The quirkiest, most stylish name in greetings cards and gift matchboxes. I’m there for quotations, inspiration, marketing consultancy and beautiful Letterpress newsletters. It’s a lot of fun.

Chipping Norton Literary Festival
This is the “best little literary festival in Britain” according to one of the visiting authors. They love ChipLitFest and so does our enthusiastic committee. Since 2015, I’ve been helping out with compiling and editing the Festival programme. This year I was website and Facebook editor and, even more fun – blogger.

In 2014, this new joint venture won £4.5 billion of contracts to look after defence property and accommodation for the UK’s forces. As a new, public-facing organisation, it needed a fresh face and well-thought through branding. I worked with designer David Baker to develop comprehensive brand guidelines.

Carillion telent
Carillion telent is delivering broadband for BT Openreach and aims to be the UK’s leading network installation business. It’s a fast-moving business and I supported them in managing change.

Superscript past clients include: Mars, EEDA, Corus, and Lafarge.
